Day Surgery
We Can Help.
Thanks to continued advances in medical technology and surgical techniques, more and more patients are able to undergo surgery and be discharged without an overnight hospital stay. At Trinity Medical Center, the Day Surgery Department offers comfort and convenience for day surgery patients. We closely monitor each patient to make sure he or she is ready to be discharged and is capable of handling his or her own needs at home.
For children, surgery can be frightening. Special pediatric tours of the unit are available to acquaint children and their parents with our services prior to surgery. Just call us at (972) 394-2470 for questions or to schedule a tour.
Trinity offers ongoing training for its medical staff in advanced surgical techniques, and the hospital remains technologically competitive.

Surgery Tips:
- Leave all valuables at home. Remove all makeup and jewelry.
- Wear casual, loose clothing. During surgery you will wear a patient gown.
- Do not eat or drink anything (including water) after midnight on the day preceding surgery.
- Refrain from smoking after midnight on the day preceding surgery.
- Contact lenses, dentures and bridges must be removed prior to surgery.
- Bathe or shower the morning of surgery to minimize the chance of infection.
- Driving is not recommended within 24 hours following surgery. Please make appropriate arrangements.
- Arrange for an adult to stay at home with you the first night following surgery
